We, the Hyefin team, are NOT responsible for databases stored locally on your device. Your local SQLite database file, its storage location, backups, and physical device security are entirely your own responsibility.
Hyefin is responsible for keeping a safe, zero-knowledge 256-bit AES encrypted connection on the Hyefin Plus subscription. If you cancel your Hyefin Plus subscription, you can at any time download your complete database and store it locally on your device.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when creating an account or using our features:
- Account Credentials: Name, verified email address, chosen username, and securely hashed passwords.
- Encrypted Vault Data: Zero-knowledge 256-bit AES encrypted SQLite database snapshots (for Hyefin Plus cloud sync subscribers). We cannot read, inspect, monetize, or sell your financial transactions, merchants, or balances.
- Device Information: Operating system platform (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS) and app version for update delivery and device authorization.
- Transaction Records for Credits: Log records of AI credit allocations and feature activations.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and protect the Hyefin services and verify account identity.
- To dispatch required security verification codes (e.g. registration OTP and new device database authorization).
- To synchronize encrypted databases across authorized devices for Hyefin Plus subscribers.
- To prevent unauthorized account takeovers and maintain platform integrity.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do NOT sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal or financial information. Data is only processed through trusted infrastructure providers:
- Secure Encrypted Cloud Storage: Stores zero-knowledge AES-256 encrypted database blobs for Plus subscribers. Only your devices holding your key can decrypt the data.
- Transactional Email Services: Delivers 6-digit security codes and critical security alerts.
- Payment Gateways: Securely processes credit packs and subscriptions without exposing card numbers to Hyefin servers.
4. Data Security & Zero-Knowledge Vaults
Financial databases synced through Hyefin Plus are encrypted client-side using industry-standard AES-256 before leaving your device. Even Hyefin system administrators cannot decrypt your transaction data without your unique master encryption key.
5. Your Data Rights & Cancellation
You retain full ownership of your data at all times. You have the right to:
- Download a complete, offline
.sqlitebackup of your database at any time from Settings → Storage. - Cancel your Hyefin Plus subscription at any time while retaining your downloaded local database.
- Request complete deletion of your account and cloud sync snapshots.
